About the site

iPilot777.com was created back in April 2005 with an intention to display my Aviation photography collection. The funny thing being, it was never possible all these years since there was no network of spotters in and around my local airport, no decent spotting locations could be found and for various other reasons. However, things have changed a lot in the past few years, especially in the past few months and Spotting in some of the Airports in India is a reality now. With this good news, this site is sure to host a good number of quality images of great Airplanes in India and especially Bangalore (BLR / VOBL). All the photos on this site are taken by myself unless mentioned otherwise. Enjoy your visit and do come back regularly as this site will be updated with more photos quite frequently.

About me

I am a student in Aviation with a dream of flying from the left seat in a Boeing 777-300ER cockpit, someday! I am now crossing all the hurdles one by one to reach my goal. I have always been interested in Airplanes. As I grew older, my interest became a passion and after my first solo flight in a Cessna 152, my passion for Aviation became a "disease", as Aviators refer to the profession! So, there's no turning back for me after this! I've been a regular visitor at Airliners.net since 2002 and that is how my interest towards spotting flourished!

As of now I have only got the oppurtunity of taking photos in Bangalore. I am looking forward to travel to different cities across India and eventually to some nice locations all over the world with SIN, HKG, KIX and SXM topping the list!

My equipment

I've been a Nikon fan since childhood and got myself a Nikon D50 just months after it was launched, in August 2005. I use it with the Nikkor AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 G and the Nikkor AF 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6 G. I use a 2GB Kingston SD card and I carry another 1GB Kingston SD card with me on all spotting trips. Though the 2GB provides more than enough memory even for a day long spotting! I have an inexpensive tripod and yet to use it for spotting.
